MAJALIWA: The Presidency is your Life, not a game

Member of the Central Committee of the National Executive Committee of the Revolutionary Party (CCM), Kassim Majaliwa has urged the residents of Masasi to realize that the presidency affects their lives and not a game.

"My elders, mothers and fellow youth, the presidency is not a game, the presidency is your life. "The presidency of Tanzania wants a man who is capable of leading more than 60 million people with different religions, associations, ethnicities, and abilities," he said.

He made the call yesterday (Wednesday, October 21, 2020) while addressing the residents of Masasi town at a meeting held at Sabasaba grounds in Mkuti ward, Masasi district, Mtwara region.

 “Today, if you do not choose someone who promotes religion, you have made a serious mistake. This country is built on principles and integrity, we do not look at one's ethnicity or religion, one's income or one's race, "he stressed.

Mr. Majaliwa who is in Mtwara region to pray for the presidential candidate for the CCM ticket, Dr. John Pombe Magufuli, used the opportunity to nominate a parliamentary candidate for Masasi constituency, Mr. Godfrey Mwambe; Ndanda constituency parliamentary candidate, Mr. Cecil Mwambe; Lulindi constituency parliamentary candidate, Mr. Issa Ally Mchungaela and CCM councilor candidates.

"We want a leader who will preach peace, we want a leader with whom we have a history, let us stop making choices by following the wind. We want a leader who will make progress. "Let's elect a President, I repeat, let's elect a President, let's not elect someone to go and sit in the White House," he stressed.

Earlier, on his way to Masasi, Mr. Majaliwa was stopped by residents of Chienjele, Namakuku and Mibura villages in Chienjele ward, Ruangwa district where he asked the residents by next Wednesday, (October 28) to vote yes for the CCM presidential candidate, Dr. John Pombe Magufuli.
